Este libro nace de la celebración de 50 años de labores de la empresa Explorandes, liderada por Alfredo Ferreyros. A través de los relatos aqui reunidos de varios coautores y protagonistas del desarrollo de los atractivos y actividades relacionadas al deporte, recreación y turismo, se cuenta la historia y antecedentes de su desarrollo. En la primera parte se cuenta como sucedió en el Perú.

En la segunda parte se cuenta como han cambiado los destinos en estas últimas décadas para afrontar los cambios en los flujos a estos lugares, antes alejados y poco visitados. Lo bueno, lo malo y lo feo.

Finalmente, el balance de lo que se lee es que el turismo es un gran motor del desarrollo de nuestra sociedad brindándole al poblador una variada gama de empleos y negocios.
